JOB TITLE: Technical Sales Representative - Scientific LOCATION: Boston MA LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 6 months (with potential to be extended based on business needs) PAY RATE: $20.45/hr SHIFT HOURS: 1 st shift Qualifications must include: * Only candidates that meet all of the below requirements need apply. Ø Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration or related field Ø 2+ years in sales - Life Sciences product/industry acumen, knowledge of products within a product category Ø Advanced level Microsoft Office software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook. Ø Ability to travel up to 70% Regionally Ø Possess familiarity/knowledge of accounting terminology and concepts, and skills using mainframe, spreadsheet, database or other software. Ø Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. In this role, you will: This position leads the demonstration process for the Spectrophotometer line within Consumables North America. Essential Responsibilities - Technical Sales Representative Qualifications: Ø Drive sales growth and market share of GE Consumables spectrophotometers through Fisher, VWR, and Direct. Ø Develop and implement effective sales demonstration programs and processes. Ø Provide input into marketing programs and drive growth of the spectrophotometer line. Ø Build and develop working relationships across all applicable functional groups within the Fisher, VWR, and Direct. Ø Facilitate consistent communication with Regional Sales Directors and field sales team regarding key strategies and programs. Key Results Areas ? Ø Serve as primary contact for internal and external inquiries related to all demonstrations of the spectrophotometer portfolio. Ø Exceed sales quotas for spectrophotometer portfolio. Ø Team oriented - ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams Ø Energized, change agent with strong influencing skills Ø Assertiveness - strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to share difficult messages and defend decisions and make judgment calls Ø Experience interacting and coordinating multiple functions working in a matrix organization ?
