Small Business Sales Rep
Position Details
Cox Business is looking to expand our elite sales team responsible for selling telephony (business phone services, toll-free services), data (Internet access), wireless, and video solutions. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Small Business Team Sales Representative sells bundled telephony, data, video and other assigned products door-to-door to new small business customers to saturate the market and grow share.
With responsibility for meeting ambitious sales goals, this position works in a fast paced organization with pressure to meet sales targets and grow revenues quickly. Sales representative should be resourceful with the ability to drive for desired results through prospecting, cold calling in person and generating new sales, typically in one sales call.
Primary Responsibilities
Sales
Effectively spends 90% of work week in field prospecting and selling bundled telephony, data, and video and other assigned products door-to-door to customers to meet or exceed corporate/regional sales goals
Strategically identifies new prospects through cold calling and referrals from existing customers
Contacts and meets with prospective customers to collect information required to assess their communication needs in detail, qualify the prospect and deliver sales presentations
Refers contact information for a customer or prospect to another representative if the sale is not appropriate
Leverages solution selling techniques to educate and influence customers to buy Cox products, typically in one sales call
Strategically negotiates pricing, products, and promotions with new customers. Verifies that service pricing reflects pricing structures set at the corporate level
Builds an effective consultative relationship with customers during the sales transaction to ensure customer satisfaction and establishes short-term relationships with customers in order to make sales and gain referrals
Coordination
Partners with Order Entry Specialist to set up orders for installation
Collaborates with Sales Engineer and/or Sales Support Team to address any issues regarding installation or service for the customer
Supports colleagues through gathering and submitting details for return on investment (ROI) assessments to determine if sales will be profitable
Administration
Drives business results through executing and maintaining sales plans for own territory in order to meet assigned targets
Prepares and forwards expense, win/loss, sales forecasts, and sales activity reports to Manager
Ensures a consistent customer experience through keeping customer database up to date and recording all activities, transactions, and communications with customers
Minimum Requirements
Must be fluent in Spanish
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid drivers license, good driving record, reliable transportation
6 months experience using a computer
18 years of age or older
Eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
1 year successful outside sales experience with quotas and cold calling
1 year telecommunications sales experience
Knowledge of local market, local contacts
Bachelors degree in related field
