Software Developer (GEOG 12-0020)

 

The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Software Developer for the West Virginia State GIS Technical Center housed within the Geology/Geography department at West Virginia University. Incumbent will provide computer programming support for geographic information systems energy related projects including carbon sequestration, CO2 risk mapping, gas shale research, pipeline modeling, etc. Incumbent will also develop interactive web mapping applications involving geological and geographic data and critical use of geographic information systems to store, analyze, disseminate, and display spatial information.

 

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 1-2 years’ experience developing and modifying computer software required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for requisites.
