Sunstate Equipment Co. a leader in the construction equipment rental industry has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, experienced Top Line Mechanic for our Buckeye branch who takes pride in their workmanship and in delivering quality customer service.
Responsibilities consist of performing regular preventative maintenance and major repairs on a wide range of heavy construction equipment and delivery vehicle fleet to ensure the equipment operates safely and properly. The position includes advanced troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, ignition and pneumatic systems, diesel and gas engines as well as drive trains.
We seek a skilled craftsman with a minimum of 3 years actual and recent experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, dismantling and reassembling heavy construction equipment utilizing hoists, hand tools, micrometers and gauges, etc. to ensure operating efficiency.
Good mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines (gas and diesel), electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is necessary. Welding ability and experience strongly desired.
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required as occasional customer site service may be necessary. Availability to work a rotating on-call schedule is required along with your own tools and toolbox.
