We develop in-house software applications with agile methodology, using technologies such as Microsoft .Net, SQL Server and various open source libraries such as NHibernate, NUnit and Spring.Net.
Orbis is incubating a start-up that will revolutionise the financial industry with state-of-the-art technology, a novel business model and innovative products. We are currently looking to recruit Software Developer in Test to join our growing team in London, who will lead the software quality assurance process for our next generation online platform.
Qualification:
•Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record from a reputable university with a minimum 2:1 in a numerate discipline. A Master’s or higher level degree will be advantageous
•Proficient in object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, VB.Net)
•Demonstrated passion for software development and particularly software quality and understanding of test concepts.
•Any relevant experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
•Web test automation e.g. Selenium with C#/JavaUnit testing frameworks e.g. NUnit/JUnit
•Performance/Load testing of websites and web-services
•Website security testing
•Website usability/accessibility testing
•Experience of a complete software development cycle (preferably following agile methodology), from initial specifications to maintenance and support
Responsibilities:
•Develop automated test cases to match user acceptance criteria
•Design, implement, test, deploy, maintain testing suites to provide high code coverage
•Build and maintain automated test infrastructure
•Review and challenge functional specifications for specificity and testability
•Provide feedback and suggestions to the owners of the codes to ensure high testability
•Participate in specification and code reviews
•Conduct research on emerging technologies that can potentially improve software quality
