Ketchum Trading, a privately-held proprietary trading firm, seeks a highly motivated software developer with proven leadership skills to join our dynamic team in downtown Chicago.

POSITION SUMMARY: An integral part of a small core development group responsible for developing and maintaining highly scalable, multi-threading and multi-tiered trading applications and infrastructure. This individual will help lead the architecture and development of next-generation trading applications. The main responsibilities will include finishing the features set on existing code base followed by architecture design and implementation of new trading system.

Expert knowledge of C++ - the language

Troubleshooting - determines causes of operating errors and designs fixes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Math; graduate degree preferred

• Math and Statistics background, a plus

• Experience with algorithmic trading, a plus

• At least 5 years hands-on development experience with C++

• Scripting with Bash, Perl, Python preferred

• Experience with full life-cycle deployment is preferred

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

• Must be a team-oriented leader
