Software Developer, T-SQL, SSRS, OOP, XML Job in London, London UK
Leading Financial Services Company seeks a talented Junior Software Developer to be based in their central London office.
You will be assisting in the delivery of excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring the increased client base and potential new business means we are maintaining a high quality of client service.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing product knowledge of financial management
• Providing explanations of clients' investment returns in the context of their actuarial requirements
• Carrying out research work where required to support other members of staff
• Adhering to Compliance procedures and requirements such as: confidentiality, data protection, anti-money laundering procedures, etc
Candidates MUST have:
1. Experience writing and supporting T-SQL scripts
2. Knowledge/ experience with OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
3. Knowledge of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
4. Ability to take on responsibility for the full software development lifecycle.
5. An eagerness to take on responsibility and an ability to work to strict deadlines
6. Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
Desirable are:
• Knowledge of/ experience with: XML, Excel Programming, Web Services
• Financial sector/ FSA experience
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical improvements
