Job Description:
Perform life cycle software development for cyber security products. Tasking includes code development, system integration, testing against security requirements documentation required for security certification and accreditation, travel for deployments of the products, customer support and product maintenance.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems or Microsoft Windows
- Demonstrated ability to produce quality code
- Strong problem-solving ability and self-motivation
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth
- Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Up to 50% travel
- Ability to obtain a TS with SSBI security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- C, C++, Java
- Python, shell scripting, RPM packaging, system integration
- XML, Web Services
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of information system security risks and mitigations, i.e. system hardening, network firewalls, data flow control, risks analysis
- Experience administering Unix/Linux operating systems or Microsoft Windows
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, network protocols, and common services such as DNS, FTP, email, SSH
- Experience with virtualization software (e.g. VMWare, Zen)
Education/Certification requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline (or equivalent related experience in lieu of a degree).
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
