Software Engineer Job in Stafford ST18 9AB, Midlands UK
Your role as a Software Engineer or Junior software engineer will be to work within our development team maintaining,
supporting and developing the company’s market leading products and services. You will join a medium
sized team of like-minded people eager to learn new technologies and move the company forward using
the most up to date development techniques.
On a daily basis you will pair with experienced developers using many XP practices including TDD, code
refactoring, continuous Integration and single click deployment.
Development technologies include:
● Web (Asp.net, MVC, Javascript, JQuery).
● Python.
● C# 3.5/4 (Visual Studio 2010, Resharper).
● ORM (NHibernate, Fluent).
● Testing (NUnit, MOQ, Selenium).
● SOA (WCF, REST, protobuf).
● MSSQL Server / PostgresSQL / Cassandra.
● CI (TeamCity, Nant).
● Amazon Cloud.
Skills Requirements
Essential
● A passion for software development.
● A S.O.L.I.D understanding of OO principals.
● An ability to adapt and learn.
● Comfortable with collective code ownership and pair programming.
● Eager to learn/master new technologies.
● A good communicator.
