L-3 C2S2 is looking for software engineers to assume roles in the development and maintaining of existing software solutions in Charleston, SC. The software solutions manage the mass vehicle integration effort at SPAWAR Charleston. Software engineers designs, develops and implements specifications for software applications and processes and modifies and maintains the existing software system.   Engineers will develop easy to use web-based interfaces for multiple users. Position requires troubleshooting software issues, performing software enhancements, requirements documentation, and data management. This development program follows an agile development life cycle to rapidly deliver solutions and employs scrum teams equipped with current state of the art technologies, processes and development environments.

 

Experience/knowledge of U.S. government agency policies, education, information technology, social marketing theory and practice, risk/crisis communication, communications strategies, and implementation and behavioral sciences is a plus.

 

Qualifications

·         Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.

·         5 - 8 years as a software developer with some or all of the following technologies: .NET, Visual Studio 2010, Telerik, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, Web Service Technologies including SOAP and  WSDL

·         Experience with Agile with Scrum software development methodologies are highly desired

·         Development skills to include design, development, testing, deployment and support

·         Foundation in computer science or engineering, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design

·         Written and verbal communication. Proven time management

·         Interpersonal and team participation a must

·         Ability to analyze existing systems environment to determine applicability of fit with new business initiatives 

·         Ability to analyze requirements and translate these to overall system-level design
