About the Role and Responsibilities
Location: Bangalore, India
About the Role:
Engineer will be working on the McAfee Firewall Enterprise product. The McAfee Firewall Enterprise product is an enterprise class firewall product that sits at network perimeter and used to protect networks against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with product management and development teams to drive quality through all stages of SDLC from design to implementation through deployment
- Engineer should understand new functionalities and to prepare quality test plan
- Create required test scenario which should be in line with customer deployments
- Strong analyzing knowledge on debugging networking failures
- Automation of test cases using python/TCL/Perl
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills Education:
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA from Top Engineering colleges (preferably)
- 2 - 4yrs experience in testing networking products
- Understanding on L2 and L3 protocols are must
- Strong knowledge on testing TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, IPSec, VPN, SSL protocols
- Familiar with Unix/FreeBSD operating system
- Experience in automation using Python/TCL/Perl
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be highly motivated with a strong passion and commitment for software quality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
