Description

The job holder resolves and reports various infrastructure problems dealing with the mainframe, mid-range, distributed, web and PC environments. S/he works with users and management to install infrastructure software to establish and maintain the integrity of the software products life cycle. S/he also designs, codes and implements infrastructure software by providing solutions and enhancements to support applications and operating systems. S/he coordinates changes to software configurations while keeping down time to a minimum.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 - 2 years experience required. Job holder must have experience with defining clients needs and preparing detail-level documentation of functional requirements. S/he must be knowledgeable about the organization s technology practices, standards and procedures and have a general understanding of the overall software architecture and infrastructure components. S/he must also be experienced in preparing, administering and validating application tests and in activities associated with implementing new or enhanced applications into the local software environment. Job holder must have hands-on experience troubleshooting technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.S/he must be a self-starter with effective oral and written communication skills. S/he must also be customer-service oriented and an experienced problem solver who seeks assistance when necessary. Job holder must be adaptable to changing circumstances, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with others. B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required.
