Software Test Analyst – FX and Equities recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Review functional requirements for testability
- Create functional test scenarios, test cases and scripts
- Create and update regression test cases as required
- Work with Test Lead to establish the environment for testing, executes smoke tests, documents issues and progress
- Execute functional and regression test cases, accurately records status of test case execution daily during test execution, and communicate variances to the Onshore Quality Assurance Lead.
- Maintain test books
- Participate in test planning and decomposition of test requirements; create test matrices, detailed test cases, test data and test scripts
- Provide UAT Support to ensure UAT readiness, co-ordinate defects with business and project team
- Apply established quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures
- Identify opportunities to insert and advance predictive analysis tools, automation and best practice methodologies into the QA SDLC for continuous improvement
Role:
The Functional Test Analyst will be expected to conduct a wide range of quality analyses and testing activities under direct or moderate supervision, to ensure that system solutions meet specified standards, requirements, performance metrics, and SLAs.
The Functional Test Analyst should participate in test planning, requirement decomposition, test matrices, creating test cases and scripts. This individual creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flows. The Functional Test Analyst creates test cases in Quality Center, executes tests, documents problems in JIRA, and re-tests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years in Quality Assurance or related roles, on a wide variety of projects
- Solid experience in Financial Markets functional domain preferrably on FX/ Commodities / Equities
- Experience in Market risk business, Risk analysis measures, Asset classes - Forex, Equity, Derivatives, Bonds and Repos would be a value add.
- Knowledge of QA and testing standards, methodologies, tools and processes
Education and Certification Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field or the equivalent in experience
Professional QA and Project Management certifications preferred (CQSA, CSTE)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
