Role:
A market leading online based publishing organisation requires a Test Engineer who will be responsible for the full life cycle of test and for quality assurance by providing an independent test and analysis function in the release process. Responsibilities:
· Working within an Agile environment with the CRM development team, you will test newly developed software, existing software upgrades and deployments, where appropriate using automated tools to enhance testing efficiency and identify vulnerable areas of the software
· Assist in driving technical issues to a quick resolution
· Maintain logs and manuals to document work and status of project
· Manage, document, and control the testing process on a piece of project work
· Share knowledge and information with other members of the IT Test team
Technical skills:
· Experience with SQL
· Experience with HP Quality Centre for Test Management
· Skilled in Test Analysis
· Skilled in writing Test Plans, Test Cases and executing Tests
· Ideally experience with HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) or other Automated test tool
· Experience with Agile methodology
Interpersonal skills:
· Effectively translating and conveying information
· Working cooperatively and productively with other
· Organise and prioritise time and resources effectively
· Decisiveness in being able to make decisions in a timely manner
· Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Good and effective communication skills both verbal and written
Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent)
· Some automation experience would be beneficial but not essential (QTP - Quality Centre framework)
