Solicitor
The Role
The role will be transaction driven and involve liaising with external advisors, clients and internal product teams on the negotiation and execution of deals. Key responsibilities will include:
- Consulting on the structure of new deals with clients and related advisors, providing pricing input where necessary and appropriate on proposals prepared by Client and Business Development.
- Reviewing, negotiating and executing all governing documents for new transactions, ensuring that the deal documentation reflects appropriate operational responsibilities and documentation standards.
- Coordinating with Client and Business Development on the presentation of new transactions, ensuring the deal has been properly approved by the company prior to execution of the governing documents.
- Presenting deals to the local committee for new business and liaising with product management, risk and legal to ensure compliance.
- Reviewing post-closing matters (including supplements, amendments, document interpretation, contracts for redemptions, consent solicitations and note holder meetings).
The Candidate
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must;
- be a qualified solicitor in Ireland, or other common law jurisdiction
- have a minimum of 5 years PQE in a corporate law environment (top tier law firm or in-house with an international bank or financial services firm).
- have a strong technical knowledge of structured finance transactions such as ABS, MBS or Master Trusts.
