JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

• Support the sales process through assistance with qualification, objection handling, demonstrations, workshops and requirements gathering;

 

• Provision of on-site and internet-based pre-sales presentation and demonstration assistance to EMEA Sales Directors when working on prospect opportunities;

 

• Prepare and lead pre-sales workshops at prospective client sites, including population and preparation of demonstration databases and scripts;

 

• Support the Business Development team in their engagement with current and prospective partners (Big 4, treasury consultancies, re-sellers)

 

• Assistance with completion of RFP’s and proposals;

 

• Collate and document product enhancements necessary to reflect the unique characteristics of EMEA markets or prospect-specific needs

 

• Assistance with provision of thought leadership with respect to treasury management to the EMEA sales, marketing and services teams;

 

• Contribute materials such as case studies and white papers that can be used by Marketing for external lead generation and/or thought leadership purposes;

 

• Attend industry seminars and conferences to help promote Reval’s solutions and expertise

 

• Cross train in the areas of corporate risk management, derivatives valuation, hedge accounting and IFRS9 as appropriate
 

MINIMUM PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

• graduate with several years post-graduation work experience

• in-depth experience of Treasury Management, particularly cash management and payments as well as liquidity management

• practical experiences within treasury functions at large corporations, in a treasury advisory role for a consulting or audit firm, or in a similar pre-sales/consulting role for a treasury management software company;

• prior experience implementing or using other treasury management systems would be an advantage (e.g. IT2; Wall Street; City Financials; Sungard Quantum; Sungard Integra-t)

• an understanding of international accounting regulations relating to financial instruments and hedge accounting (IFRS7/9, IAS39) would be an advantage but not a requirement;

 

• experience across multiple asset classes (IR, FX, EQ, CO, CR) an advantage;

 

• Financial Risk management expertise an advantage;

 

• has excellent communication and presentation skills;

 

• ability to work independently and as part of a small team;

 

• will enjoy working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment;

 

• a consultative personality with strong inter-personal skills;

 

• understands the sales and consulting process and the role of pre-sales;

 

• ability and willingness to work with Reval treasury solutions at a detailed technical level;

 

• Qualified accountant and/or ACT an advantage but not a requirement;

 

• fluent in spoken and written English (other European languages an advantage but not a requirement);

This is primarily a pre-sales role which will leverage your subject matter expertise in the areas of treasury management, cash management, liquidity forecasting and payments.

If you also have experience with regard international accounting regulations, particularly the derivatives valuation and hedge accounting components of IAS39 and IFRS7/9, this will also be utilised. Alternatively, you will be given the opportunity for extensive training and personal development in those areas to complement your existing treasury management experience.

While the primary focus of the role will be the UK, Nordics and Western Europe, you will be a member of the EMEA team and expected to contribute to the broader geographic region as necessary.  The role will involve some business travel and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of Corporations of varying size, sophistication, geography and culture.

Prospects and clients are primarily large corporate treasuries. In addition, Reval subscribers also include sell-side banks (derivatives sales desks and treasury/cash management services), Banks themselves for internal use and Big 4 audit companies.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Provision of pre-sales expertise for Reval treasury management solutions, with an initial focus on cash management and payments as well as, liquidity management;

• Provision of treasury/cash/ liquidity management thought leadership;
