Long established professional services firm in the DC area is looking for SOLUTION ENGINEER to join their team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Junior-mid level Software Engineeer to support a small but growing company in the decision analytics space.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUITRMENTS:
1+ years work experience or equivalent required
1+ years experience with SQL required, preferably Oracle SQL
Experience with Microsoft Office required
Experience with Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required
Familiarity with databases, data warehouses
Familiarity with Java SE
Ability to understand exception feedback and how to diagnose the errors
Experience with automated testing suites a plus (Selenium, JUnit)
Experience with iReport or similar report writing software preferred
Experience with Pentaho, Kettle, or Liferay a plus
Excellent reverse engineer can utilize what already exists and build their solutions from that
Proactive problem solver will utilize numerous resources independently
Moderate analytical skills should understand basic math, and possess a familiarity with statistics
Active learner can pick up a program/tool with minimal experience and learn by clicking around and reading online documentation
Writing SQL scripts to support new data reports and manage historical data
Requirements gathering for data management tasks and new data reports
Data entry leading to development of automated extract, transact, and load (ETL) scripts using open source software applications
Manage new and historical data based on project needs
Quality assurance for data tasks and software development
May be asked to assist with other software development tasks
