Solvency II Program Management Office Support ( PMO ) recruitment
The Solvency II Program in Zurich involves a number of projects implemented both at central and country level. The Solvency II Program organization includes typical central Program Management (PM) and Program Management Office (PMO) responsibilities. According to the Zurich Project Management Framework, the PMO reports to the Program Managers and helps Release Objective Leaders as well as Country Leaders ensure that Program objectives are met. The PMO also provides an information hub to the Program along with specialist expertise and facilitation. Reporting to the Head of the Solvency II PMO, the Processes and Standards Support person is the key PMO role for maintaining Program processes and standards as well as for enabling the smooth functioning of the PMO itself. This person champions the Zurich Project Management Framework requirements, describes and maintains Program processes and methodologies, maintains documentation templates, regularly reviews logs of Program risks and actions, provides and withdraws access to Program-specific electronic tools, maintains list of Program deliveries and enforces appropriate storage, acts as a communication gateway, organizes Steering Committees, workshops and meetings and supports Program Joiners and Leavers.
Travel is expected occasionally, e.g. to provide assistance during workshops and training sessions.
Prerequisites are a Master degree in business administration or equivalent. You have at least 2 years of experience across PMO/project management, process engineering and systems development in a multicultural and international environment. Further you have understanding of the insurance business and possibly of Solvency II. We are looking for a team player with outstanding communication, negotiation and problem solving skills in a business environment who has solid analytical skills and the ability to focus on priorities, timely and effective execution. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, have excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and a common understanding of IT in the business context. A second European language (German, Italian or Spanish) would be a plus. You ideally know Planview or similar project management tools.
