Solvency II Reporting Accountant recruitment
Our client is actively recruiting for a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant in their Dublin based operation. Pre Solvency II This Financial Reporting Accountant will have significant involvement with the implementation of external reporting requirements under Solvency II. This would involve devising solutions, assistance with implementation and embedding processes consistently across their local businesses. Once Solvency II becomes operational, the role will evolve into a regulatory reporting role, both internal and external.
Key Deliverables:
- Contribute towards the development of accounting and reporting practices with regard to external reporting
- Provide consistent guidance, common approach and assistance with the implementation of changes to reporting environment and processes
- Support alignment of Pillar 3 with existing GAAP and changes likely to be introduced as a result of the IFRS Insurance Contracts Project
- Ensure that all local businesses report and deliver in a way that complies with Pillar 3 of Solvency II
- Provide ad-hoc advice to local businesses on accounting and regulatory matters
- Adhere to the organisation's Information Security Policy, and take steps to ensure that information is only provided to those authorised to have access to it
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant: 2-5 years PQE
- Big 4 Audit or insurance industry experience is essential
- Experience of IFRS / US GAAP is preferable
- Independently prioritises tasks and meets deadlines
- Ability to think on your feet and use your initiative
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of presentations to and influencing senior management
Package Details:
- Negotiable salary circa €70,000
- 15% annual bonus
