Solvency II Reporting Cycle Project Manager recruitment

Role responsibilities:

•  Overall accountability for successful completion of each of the reporting cycles as planned at the programme level.
• Responsible for ensuring that the scope of the reporting cycles are clearly defined and understood by all contributors.
• Ensuring the relevant technical forums are well run and effective.
• Responsible for successful completion of work- stream deliverables on time and within agreed budget.
• Working closely with project managers in other businesses and other SII work-streams to ensure all dependencies documented and managed.
• Identifying key risks and issues and escalating them in a timely fashion to the sponsor and relevant Steering Groups.
• Ownership of work-stream plans, tracking progress across all phases of the programme and all impacted businesses.
• Stakeholder management across regional stakeholders.
• Active participation in appropriate governance bodies.
• Planning and involvement in the successful transition of process and deliverables to BAU.

Experience/skills required:

• Experience of managing complex or regulatory change projects/solutions within the Financial Services industry (e.g. Basel II, FSA or IFRS reporting).
• Experience of delivering projects in an international environment preferred.
• Experience of project delivery within a programme environment preferred, and understanding of the cross-project issues typically experienced within a large programme.
• Track record of successful involvement in actuarial and/or financial reporting initiatives.
• Experience of General Insurance and familiarity with Insurance financial and management information.
• Awareness of SII, Basel or ICA compliance requirements.
• Ability to communicate specialist knowledge with key stakeholders within Group and around a number of  International businesses.
• Ability to interact with regional programmes and quickly ascertain whether there are any material problems.
• Ability to lead, advise, guide and gain clear commitment from key stakeholders.
