Sourcing Manager
Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, the buyer will define, implement and execute the sourcing strategy for the relevant product category with the objective to reduce the overall cost of goods in reviewing and challenging the value chain, increase country participation and develop sustainable sourcing activities. He/she will be responsible for the development and implementation of the product range, sourcing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the implementation of sourcing strategy for his/her product categories in APAC region.
• Reduce overall cost of COGS.
• Identify suppliers (regional and international) and establishing the relationship with them, negotiating terms and conditions and ordering and reordering processes.
• Commercial contract negotiations.
• Follow-up performance of assistant buyer.
• Responsibility for identifying, short listing, negotiating with Suppliers and for contracts.
• Responsibility for the forecasting, budgeting and P+L.
• Observation of the activities of competitors; collect data to make up-to date information available on the activities of competitors.
• Analysis of market information; follow new developments and trends in order to be up-to-date on the situation on his/her area’s market.
• Managing the FTE (Full Time Equivalent) employee’s budget.
• In depth co-operation with his/her peers in the purchasing, corporate departments, admin finance and countries/regions.
• In depth co-operation with the countries also in connection with suppliers, assortment, and supply chain.
• Keep in contact with the suppliers on a regular basis
Working relationships
• Offer Management in countries, Regional offices.
• Accounting Department (Collates supplier invoices)
• Corporate departments at HQ.
• Legal Department
• Quality Assurance (he/she should actively participate at each listing and creating own brand products)
• Import Department (collates import conditions and transactions)
• Controlling Department (supplies plan data, receives statistics, evaluations)

Suppliers
Institution, buying organization, producers associations etc
Essential skills
University degree or similar another higher education –
Excellent expertise in relevant category’s products, suppliers, trading, customers and import.
Excellent knowledge of procurement principles, methods and processes, e.g. food sourcing
Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
At least one other Asian language
Excellent communication and negotiation skills and knowledge in financial management
Good knowledge in Change Management.
Very good understanding and ability to apply to business specifics in other countries.
