Job DESCRIPTION
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
This individual will be a key player in the supply chain finance department working closely with a designated Commodity Director and Commodity Managers on a daily basis to track commodity cost performance as it relates to established targets. This position will report to the Supply Chain Finance Manager.
Responsibilities include:
-Oversight of direct material purchased and purchase price variation by supplier
-Perform analysis on material cost changes to ensure payment accuracy and contract adherence
-Develop, forecast, and manage department budgets to ensure proper cost control
-Assist in contract negotiations to ensure best possible pricing for UTC
-Maintain and track material productivity action items
-Analyze accounts payable activity to recover duplicate supplier payments
-Sarbanes-Oxley management testing
-Establish and monitor capital expenditure budgets
-Perform financial analysis on key suppliers to ensure financial health/solvency
-Perform ad hoc analysis as required
Bachelor' degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
2-4 years HS/UTC accounting and/or finance experience preferred
HFM knowledge preferred
JD Edwards / SAP knowledge required
This position is within a fast-paced environment, and requires an individual that has demonstrated good communication skills, is adaptable to changing business needs, and extremely customer focused.
