Special Situations Analyst recruitment
Our client is a leading equity house with global presence and an excellent reputation for client service, ideas generation and execution. To further expand their product offering they are looking to a add a number of analysts to work closely with their sales teams to produce trading orientated ideas and strategies for their institutional and hedge fund client base, looking specifically at the relative value/ merger arb/ risk arb strategies.
The ideal candidate will be an existing analyst on either the buy or sell side with a strong track record in producing differentiated and actionable research with the emphasis on short term trading ideas rather than longer term traditional or thematic research. The aim of the product is to produce actionable, alpha generating ideas based on market situation and news flow, covering all the major sectors on a pan European basis. For this reason there are a number of vacancies. Sector coverage and seniority are less important than a good breadth of market knowledge, ability and confidence to cover the market and identify value and produce persuasive product, selling the opportunity to internal and external clients.
