A new position has been created for a Specialist Financial Analyst to join the Strategic Control, Workforce and Regulation group based in Hobart. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a team of four staff in the delivery of high level strategic advice and support in relation to the development, management and reporting of the Agency's budget and overall financial position to the Departmental Executive and the Minister. Other key responsibilities include the provision of advice on budgetary and financial issues and reforms as they arise, and the development of financial policies, procedures and controls designed to improve overall financial management, budgeting and reporting requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use initiative and innovation to lead the Budget and Reporting section in becoming a best practice environment. Key to your success will be your proven performance in a similar financial management role, along with excellent leadership, communication, analytical and research skills. Appropriate professional qualifications including membership of a professional body (CA or CPA), or progress towards, will be an advantage.
