Specialist Maint Continuous Improvement

SUMMARY: This position is part of a team responsible for helping plants implement and sustain a maintenance culture that is process oriented, data driven, measured against company-wide performance standards, and focused on continuous improvement to provide best reliability at best cost. Critical functions include evaluating plant compliance with standard company maintenance processes, providing process training and ongoing enhancement as well as implementation of new processes, analyzing data to identify cost reduction as well as efficiency, throughput, and yield improvement opportunities, improving maintenance/manufacturing process, development of ?best practice? strategies and standards for asset maintenance. This position will also evaluate equipment, components, and vendor performance to make recommendations on purchasing agreements and capital improvements. This position will facilitate education and information sharing between plant maintenance, senior maintenance and corporate leadership. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Prefer broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience: 6+ year?s experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills. Must be familiar with SAP PM functionality; develop PowerPoint presentations; and build courseware and instructor guides using MS Word Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills due to interaction with high levels of management in various groups such as Finance, Purchasing, Engineering and QA. Also interacts with material suppliers, manufacturer?s representatives and equipment manufacturers. Special Skills: None Supervisory: This position has responsibility for supervising other personnel and will maintain dotted line relationships with internal management at multiple levels requiring strong leadership capabilities.
