Take a look - we think you'll like what you see! Safelite AutoGlass is looking for a Store Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a larger retail location; including, the management of sales, assigned associates, controllable expenses, cash management, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and store appearance. This position generally oversees hiring, maintaining general associate relations, and scheduling of associates to cover operating hours. Responsibilities * Ensures daily work orders are set up and ran and Safelite Group vehicles are loaded, checked and on the road in a timely manner * Maintains all aspects of inventory. May process returns, order SGC and dealer parts, and investigate and resolve inventory related problems * Implements and enforces company policies and procedures * Assists the General Manager in staffing a retail store in accordance with applicable employment law * Motivates and directs the activities of associates to ensure the highest possible productivity is achieved and that World Class customer services is provided to all customers and associates. Deals with associate related problems by investigating situations and taking proper action such as counseling associates or issuing verbal and written warnings * Manages daily scheduling, assignment of work orders, and routing of mobile jobs for peak efficiency and customer service * Ensures key associates are appropriately cross trained in day-to-day operations * Trains Technicians, Mobile Pro's and, Repair Medics on installation techniques and procedures as well as the Glass Technology System (GTS) * Monitors productivity to ensure time and quality standards are met * Ensures associates are familiar with accident procedures and all other polices * Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies * Maintains facility and equipment in good working order. Ensures shop is maintained and clean to provide a positive and safe work environment for associates and customers * Trains associates on proper vehicle and equipment maintenance and required record keeping * Works in conjunction with marketing associates to ensure marketing materials are properly displayed and up-to-date Requirements Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred * Three to five years directly related experience with at least one year in a supervisory position preferred * Knowledge of installation and repair techniques, auto glass industry, and retail sales practices and procedures * Knowledge of basic human resource management practices, basic management practices and processes, inventory practices and procedures, dispatching practices, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations * Knowledge of basic budget management * Ability to lead others and achieve results through others, assemble and lead high performance teams, carry out responsibilities while upholding Safelite Group values and ethics * Ability to make effective decisions and judgments, foster a cooperative work environment, work independently demonstrating initiative, coordinate multiple activities and tasks, and develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships * Ability to analyze situations and determine appropriate responses and solutions, apply management principles, perform manual labor such as lifting and moving glass, maintain confidentiality, maintain accurate and complete records, and train others on processes and procedures * Ability to operate a personal computer and job related software, deal effectively with others, and identify problems and recommend and implement viable solutions * Skill in verbal and written communications, forward and progressive thinking, problem analysis and resolution, process improvement, training and development, and implementing new strategies and procedures * Skill in fiscal management, effective listening, preparing written, operational, and financial reports, operating general office equipment, planning, scheduling, and organizing work, performing basic mathematical calculations, and demonstrating and performing job tasks of direct reports
