Specialist Sales
We are a global primary research firm, focused on providing our clients with the competitive edge to make smarter investment decisions. Our core business is the facilitation of consultations between our clients and industry specialists, but as part of our growth and expansion we have identified an exciting opportunity to develop a new research product which will keep our clients ahead of industry developments and trends.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious sales person to help us seize this opportunity by driving sales and bookings of syndicated research and tracker products to new prospective firms.
In this role, you will be based in London but will also be required to work across our other offices in New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong and New Delhi, with responsibility for:
- Prospecting new clients and managing a pipeline of new accounts;
- Meeting with prospective clients to discuss product offering and consequently negotiating commercial terms;
- Understanding the stories behind individual securities and pitching the value proposition to relevant clients; and
- Developing close relationships with sophisticated clients to help refine and develop research product ideas.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in selling to institutional investors and experience in closing deals, preferably with an extensive list of existing buy-side relationships. The main part of the role will consist of driving new relationships with buy-side firms and selling independent research such as equity trackers, surveys and syndicated research.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have a good understanding of financial markets, alternative investments and the public equity investment process;
- Have a demonstrable ability to generate and follow up on leads effectively with excellent networking skills and experience of negotiating commercial terms;
- Have a strong entrepreneurial drive and desire to develop and build out a new product offering to prospective clients; and
- Be a results driven team player who is able to effectively manage time whilst keeping a positive and “can-do” attitude.
