Job Title:               Specialty Pharmacy Sales Representative                     

Reports To:             Regional Sales Manager                 

 

Job Summary:

 Direct sales to customer (mainly physician medical offices) in promoting ACRO’s specialty pharmacy dispensing and pharmaceutical care management services. Analyze sales statistics gathered by ACRO management to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.  Customers may include payers, clinics, pharmaceutical manufacturers, PBMs, employer groups and specialty physicians including:

Neurologists, Hepatologists, Gastroenterologists, Rheumatologists, Transplant, Endocrinologists/Growth Hormones, Dermatologists, Allergists, Oncologists, Hematologists, etc.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§         Understands the physical, psychological and social challenges of specific disease states and available drug therapy.

§         Identifies prospective, and secures appointments with high volume clients in target groups for assigned area.

§         In conjunction with the Company’s overall marketing plan, creates a sales plan with specific target accounts and sales objectives. Provide feedback on service, products and territory needs.

§         Conducts follow-up on all maintenance accounts to ascertain continued satisfaction with the Company and identify areas to increase business.

§         Instructs the customer or related personnel in handling orders and continually audit the process for customer satisfaction.

§         Serve as liaison between the customer and company to facilitate communication and resolve problems if they occur.

§         Joins and attends key professional organizations to increase Company visibility and increase business opportunities.

§         Actively finds and cultivates new sales opportunities under the guidance and support of senior management.

§         Remain aware of competitive sales activity in the area and inform management of competitive trends.

§         Provides in-services to accounts as needed.

§         Participates in exhibits and seminars to promote the Company.

 

 

Required Qualifications

- Must have demonstrated ability to promote and sell goods, services, and concepts.

- Demonstrated effective organizational and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work as directed.

- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

- College/University Degree (4 year BS or BA)

- Healthcare related sales experience (+2 years) at physician level

 

Preferred Additional Experience:  

A minimum of two to four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in specialty pharmacy sales.

 

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
