Conroe Regional Medical Center - Conroe (06437) 504 Medical Center Blvd Conroe, 77304 Delivers medically prescribed Speech Therapy in support of medical care as directed by the primary physician. Works under the supervision of a CCC Speech/Language Pathologist. Works with patients of all ages, race, creed, gender, and disability without bias or prejudice. Utilizes the evaluation of the speech/language/cognitive needs to plan the care, implement, and document effective, appropriate and safe Speech Therapy treatments. Acts as a member of the interdisciplinary team in helping the patients and their families achieve the highest level of functioning. Participates in planning and implementing new services, staff development programs, and marketing efforts. Performs all job duties and tasks in accordance with national and state professional governing guidelines and state practice act, rules, and code of ethics.
Each patient is assessed by appropriate disciplines beginning at the time the patient enters a hospital service and progressing through discharge. The patient's relevant physical, psychological and social status will be assessed. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
B. Licensed as a Speech/Language Pathologist in the State of Texas.
C. Current CPR Certification.
