Position Description:

The Position:
The Sponsored Products Group is globally responsible for Wellington Management's pooled fund businesses, namely Wellington Management Portfolios (WMP) and Wellington Trust Company (WTC). As of March 31, 2012, these businesses comprised over 310 pools, domiciled in six different legal jurisdictions with combined assets of US$70 billion from clients in more than 38 countries.

With pooled fund solutions playing an increasingly important role in the growth of the firm's client relationships and assets globally, Sponsored Products seeks a professional to join the team as a Marketing Analyst.

Responsibilities:
The Sponsored Products Marketing Analyst is a member of the Sponsored Products Marketing team, responsible for creating and maintaining a high volume of marketing content for WTC and WMP funds. The position involves working closely with other areas of the firm including Product Management, Investment Information Group, Investment Marketing, Legal and Compliance, Global Relationship Group, and Information Services.

Specific responsibilities include:
•Creating, maintaining, updating, and posting fund marketing materials including: factsheets, fund highlights, fund profiles, fund presentations, fund commentaries, videos, cases for investing, microsites, FAQs, and brochures
•Adapting internal documents to varied audiences (intermediary, high net worth, plan sponsors, plan participants)
•Knowing and efficiently using technology/tools including WMC applications (Performance Reporter, IQT, PCS Online, Fact Sheet Tool, Enterprise Reporting) and vendor services including Morningstar and FactSet
•Monitoring competitors' materials and public sites
•Ad hoc research projects on industry trends and developments
•Providing analytical input to marketing projects such as new fund proposals, financial product reviews, and client analyses
•Maintaining strong working relationships with Legal and Compliance, Product Management, Investment Information Group, Performance Group, and Publishing and Creative Services

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant industry experience, understand marketing principals and investment concepts, have the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while understanding which have priority based on due dates and impact. A strong attention to detail is critical. The position requires high-quality work in an environment that often imposes multiple and conflicting priorities. High energy, a curious nature, and a sense of humor are also required. The successful candidate will know or quickly learn various desk-top applications required for the position.

Specific skills/abilities include:
•Possess strong writing and analytical skills, ability to think creatively
•Ability to follow projects through from beginning to end (from idea generation and development, data gathering and research, to analysis and presentation of results)
•Ability to work independently; self-directed
•Significant experience in Excel
•An MBA or progress toward a graduate degree or the CFA designation is preferred.
