About the Job

In addition to its award-winning suite of software, Kroll Ontrack provides data recovery, advanced search, paper and electronic discovery, computer forensics, ESI consulting, and trial consulting and presentation services.
Black Box Testing including Test Planning and the creation of Test Cases for software products written in various programming languages, as well as Web based and Database applications.
Responsibilities
- Execute test cases and document results in an organized and efficient manner, adhering to procedures for updating pass/fail metrics as defined by QA Management.
- Verify product documentation is technically correct, error free and user friendly.
- Provide standard test metrics and status for your tasks to the QA manager as defined by QA Management.
- Review Project Requirements and Specifications documentation.
- Write detailed Test Case documents following the QA documentation standards as defined by QA Management.
- Establish Test environment and create Test data necessary for test execution.
- Record each problem found, track status of defect and verify the resolution during the testing cycle.
- Report to Management weekly regarding test status and project timelines.
- Investigate problems assigned by Management and Sr. QA Engineers.
- Analyze test results to isolate problems to the lowest common denominator.
- Submit problems to the appropriate Development Engineer.
- Attend all team meetings
- Provide technical support when required for a product in test, evaluation or BETA phase of development.
- Maintain communication with all individuals involved in System Development Life Cycle.
- Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSCS, BSCE) from four-year college or university; or 2 to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
