SQL Python/Perl, Data Analyst/ Engineer - Prop Trading
A globally leading prop-trading house is currently seeking a new Data Analyst / Engineer with technical skills in SQL as well as Python, Perl or Bash whilst having the ability to manipulate the large amounts of data they have at current.
The role will require the successful SQL Python/Perl Data Analyst/ Engineer to be responsible for the infrastructure of the data provision, storage and cleansing and monitor the data driven into the risk research. This role will require you to have solid experience with data cleansing and worked in a high data volume environment.
The successful SQL Python/Perl Data Analyst/ Engineer to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal along and experience in finance is a pre-requisite; preferably FX or equities.
SQL Python/Perl, Data Analyst/ Engineer - Prop Trading
The successful SQL Python/Perl Data Analyst/ Engineer will require the following skill:
* 2+ years' experience in a Data Cleansing/ Analyst position- Essential
* Ability to liaise with all areas of the business from trading floor to researchers in order to confirm data requirements- Essential
* Experience working with large sets of Data- Essential
* Experience with a scripting language preferably Python or Perl- Essential
* Exposure to Financial Markets (futures, equities, FX)- Essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
