The incumbent is responsible for the processing and support of complete, accurate, and timely valuation and financial statements for daily and monthly valued clients as well as the resolution of any problems that arise during the normal daily, weekly, or monthly valuation processes, and the communication of this information to all interested parties. S/He will be supporting a mix of multi-billion dollar institutional clients S/He must understand all standard/customized client accounting /reporting requirements and be able to leverage his/her knowledge of the system and services to provide solutions to unique client requirements. S/He will have consistent client contact with mid level as well as contact with senior level client staff and must be able to address their issues/challenges in an effective fashion. S/He will have frequent/daily contact with entry/mid level client staff with respect to cash, accounting, and reporting of daily and monthly client activities and initiatives. S/He will need to be able to answer all client processing, accounting, and reporting questions, either directly or through research with other functional areas, which requires a solid understand of all functional groups within GSS. S/He must use her/his understanding of the business in order to appropriately manage the risk inherent in GSS relationships and the overall business. S/He will need to provide training to Accounting Analysts and other Senior Accounting Analysts.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or comparable work experience. S/He will have general knowledge of securities and trust accounting theories and practices. S/He must be very familiar with PC applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Access) as well as on-line systems. S/He should possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently. S/He should have very strong client servicing skills with a focus on exceeding client needs and requirements. S/He must be able to work under significant pressure while adhering to constantly changing strict guidelines/deadlines. This position requires 1+ years of relevant securities/trust experience or proven competency as an Accounting Analyst.
