Sr. Android Developer (Telecommute) at Gaggle.Net (San Francisco, CA) (allows remote)

We are looking to hire a great Android / Java developer to join our team.

The Position:
We need an exceptional developer to help enhance Gaggle's web and mobile applications. You'll work from home and the hours are flexible. We are seeking a full-time developer.
We are seeking someone who can solve problems on their own and write solid code, and is able to identify and solve problems with minimal supervision.
You will be joining an existing team of senior developers who also work remotely. Our developers want to code, not manage others, hence they only want to work with someone who is already a great developer.
What you will be doing:
You'll be responsible for adding new features, tracking down and fixing bugs, and developing new systems. We have interesting, complex problems that require solutions that hold up under high traffic volumes.
Skills Requirements
Mobile Development:
- Experience with mobile platforms and devices (Android, IOS).
- Experience and knowledge of web technologies ( HTML, CSS, Webkit, etc.
- Experience with design and implementation of complex business applications.
- Solid to advanced Java development skills.
- Solid database design and data manipulation on relational databases ( MySQL, SQLite or similar).
- Experience with Integrated environments (Eclipse).
- Experience with source control environments (Git).
- Able to work in a rapid and agile development environment with frequent deliveries and minimum supervision.
Android Experience:
- Android 2.3 or higher.
- Full experience developing application for multiple resolution devices and different versions of the SDK.
- Able to develop polished user interfaces, with attention to details and following detailed specifications.
- Familiar with remote data access, web services, JSON objects.
- Experience with data providers, services, receivers and multi-threaded applications.
- Capable of learning and applying new technologies as they emerge.
