Summary
This position is the second level in the Business Systems Career Path. Incumbents in this position work as part of a project and/or support team to support, enhance and integrate systems. Under the leadership and tactical guidance of a project or team leader, incumbents in this position collaborate with both technical and functional partners and use their understanding of operations to help build solutions to meet business unit/domain needs. Incumbents use their knowledge from across a spectrum of systems to determine best solutions.

General Job Duties
Use knowledge of business operations to understand information needs of the business unit/domain and determine best technology to meet the needs.
Provide technical expertise in assigned business unit in the analysis, design, enhancement, support and implementation of systems.
Analyze processes, identify root causes of problems and make recommendations for process improvements and/or system configuration modifications.
Follow established testing procedures to ensure application is thoroughly tested during development and prior to release.
Resolve moderately complex design problems.
Demonstrate an understanding of how improvements and changes in technology impact the organization.
Manage small to medium sized programs or components of a program.
May participate in establishing program budget and timelines for small to medium-sized programs or portions of a program; manage assigned segment of program within budget and time constraints.
Monitor and report to management on program status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures.
Continuously upgrade skills; remain current in new technologies.
Provide technical direction and training to more junior personnel.
Perform other duties as required.

Specific Job Duties
Support HR and Payroll departments with usage of SAP.
Follow established change management controls for SAP.
Perform configuration/enhancements to SAP based on user requirements and ensure proper testing prior to business user acceptance testing.
Provide recommendations to business and Internal Business Applications teams on how to use software efficiently.
Ensure appropriate issue tracking with internal ticketing system.
Well versed in most of the following SAP HCM modules: compensation management, performance management, payroll, time management, organizational management, personnel administration, benefits, learning management.
Perform SAP configuration and technical changes to compensation management, performance management, time management, payroll, organizational management, personnel management and benefits.
Evaluate enhancements of SAP software and participate in SAP functional updates/upgrade testing.
Provide best practice approach regarding SAP enhancements.
Manage SAP projects based on business prioritization.
Understand SAP table structures.
Must be able to debug/troubleshoot ABAP programs in order to identify problems.
Understand iViews, WebDynpro, ESS/MSS functions.
Solid understanding of multiple language support for SAP HCM modules and ESS/MSS functions.
Experience with Nakisa OrgChart and Talent Visualization tool a plus.

Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
Must have SAP skills
5+ years of experience in business systems and applications development and implementation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills must be able to work effectively as part of a project team and foster team cooperation.
Solid understanding of project management, including budgeting and managing timelines.
Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs.
Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Experience with working in a globally dispersed, virtual team environment.
Professional certification as warranted.

Organizational Relationships
Reports directly to senior management.
Acts in a lead capacity on small to medium sized programs and/or projects, but has no direct supervisory responsibility.
May be required to collaborate with technical staff for both project and support activities
Interacts with other colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities.

External Relationships
Primary contacts are internal to the organization.
Interaction with outside third party providers.
Actively participates in industry forums and user groups.
