Senior Hardware Validation Engineer with an exceptional talent for defining, tracking and performing validation tests suitable to verify hardware operation from the ground up. This includes reviewing product design, both electrical and mechanical and defining test environments along with pass / fail criteria and methods to ensure products operate as intended within the intended environments. A hands on performance of such tests as well as reliability tests shall be performed for the purpose of verifying hardware operation down to chip level.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Defining, tracking and performing validation tests suitable to verify hardware operation from the ground up.
· Reviewing product design, both electrical and mechanical and defining test environments along with pass / fail criteria and methods to ensure products operate as intended within the intended environments.
· Hands on performing defined validation and reliability tests shall be performed for the purpose of verifying hardware operation down to chip level.
· In addition to Hardware validation, the position includes a supporting role in defining Diagnostic test application functions suitable to perform both functional and electrical verification.
· Support in the development of manufacturing production line board level and functional test methods including automated tests is required to ensure ongoing product reliability.
· Collaborate with platform and embedded developers in creation of test environments, test tools, definition of diagnostic applications.
· Create acceptance criteria develop and support test environments.
· Work with internal design teams including Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Software, as well as external development and manufacturing teams to establish and implement product validation test environments and criteria.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Education Requirements Electronics Engineering Degree
· Greater than 5 years of experience in product validation development and testing
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to read schematics
· Experience with developing validation and reliability tests and set suitable acceptance criteria.
· Experience with electronic test tools and simulation tools to assist in analysis and verification.
· Hands on expertise in performing validation and reliability tests.
· Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, ESD testers, Spectrum analysers etc
- Strong Communication skills.
- The ability to conceptualize develop concepts based on Marketing business requirements and defined parameters.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
Work is performed onsite on PC workstations in a standard engineering environment as well as within a test laboratory. Must be able to perform product tests including use of oscilloscopes, meter, ESD and similar test equipment. Some travel within the U.S. and outside the U.S. will be required, though limited.
