Essential Functions:
- Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develop terms for new hires, promotions, transfers.
- Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identify training needs for facility and individual coaching needs.
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Coordinate the administration of employee safety, health, recreation and benefits programs.
- Analyze staffing, turnover and other human resources statistics and recommend effective corrective action.
- Conduct research into human resources programs and activities; recommend changes or innovations where desirable.
- Manage Worker's Compensation cases and back to work programs.
- Develop, plan and manage training and educational programs to meet organizational objectives; conduct and plan skills/leadership training for the hourly and salaried workforce.
- Evaluates staffing needs and costs; identifies, hires, and promotes individuals with the right skills and competencies necessary to achieve superior results.
- Develops a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team.
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
- 8+ years progressive experience in Human Resources.
- HR Certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Well-developed /demonstrated management, communications, administrative, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while supporting organization's overall goals.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to understand, communicate and interpret company policies.
- Experience working in a non-union environment.
- Participative management style.
