Summary:

The Senior Instructional Solutions Designer (Senior ISD) leads the Knowledge Solutions Team members assigned to a specific project in support of C.  **This position is contingent upon Task Order award and Funding.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Supports the Knowledge Solutions Architect during the analysis and design phase.

·         Leads content gathering, analysis, and structuring throughout project life cycles, as both designer and collaborator.

·         Conducts instructional reviews of project deliverables, ensuring and maintaining consistency and instructional soundness across all deliverables.

·         Guides and mentors Knowledge Solutions Designers with individual task assignments and in seamlessly incorporating client input into solutions.

·         Designs learning products in accordance with a project’s vision and design, based on specific content gathering and analysis activities.

·         Other duties as assigned to meet business/operational needs.

 

Supervision:  Will provide specific task direction to staff but does not have formal supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

Undergraduate degree in instructional design, education, communications, English, training, new media, psychology, or a related field, plus a minimum of five years of related experience, including experience working with federal government clients are required.

 

Computer Skills: 

Proficiency in Shareable Content Object Reference Module (SCORM) is needed.  Knowledge and understanding of Section 508 of the Disabilities Act and Compliance as well as experience in adult education with emphasis on distance learning are highly desired.  Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including:  MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Outlook and SharePoint.

Clearance:   At minimum, a single scope background investigation will be conducted.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

 

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.  Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
