Sr. IT Systems Analyst

Position Description:
The Operations System Analyst will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology department. This person will focus on the monitoring, administration, and issue resolution for a suite of applications including infrastructure, production scheduling, and data processes. This role includes the assessment and identification of appropriate solutions to be integrated into the operation and make recommendations for implementation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluates business requirements and prepares detailed specifications that follow project guidelines required to develop written programs
- Formulates, defines and documents the functional system specifications
- Devises or modifies procedures that solve complex business problems with due consideration for hardware/software capacity and limitations, operating times and the desired results
- Analyzes and revises existing functional documentation
- Generates innovative ideas to resolve problems
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding all defined target goals and milestone dates for the project in order to ensure its overall success
- Assists in training junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work

Requirements:
- 3+ years technical troubleshooting experience with the ability to drive issues to resolution with clients/customers
- 2+ years experience with SQL (prefer ORACLE PL/SQL)
- 3+ years Unix experience/skills
- 3+ years of experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments
- High school diploma/GED and at least 5 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree
Assets:
- Healthcare experience with claims processing systems
- ITIL certification
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
