Trilogy Fulfillment LLC is a division of Eddie Bauer LLC. Trilogy currently handles two retailers’ fulfillment services. Trilogy owns and operates a facility that has built a long-standing legacy as a premier service facility. This facility, centrally located in Groveport, Ohio, is a 2.2M square foot, highly-automated distribution center specifically designed for direct-to-consumer apparel fulfillment.
Purpose:
Lead Java-based design and code efforts. Integrate Java development into a build and software development process. Identify tools, procedures, coding standards and other opportunities to further use the Java technology. Work closely with the application/technical team members (internal/external) to define and design suitable infrastructure to implement support the required deliverables. Participate in the design and implementation of an integration layer between a B2C web site, order management system and other associated business systems. Assist an established group of developers in developing Java skills and capabilities.
Core Accountabilities:
- Define and document detailed requirements in support of application development
- Establish and promote coding standards and procedural standards for using the Java platform.
- Coding standards must include SSAE and PCI-compliant practices and controls. OWASP or OWASP-like practices will be necessary for the interfaces.
- Take ownership of in-house Java applications for support, development and improvement.
- Provide on-call support for systems and areas of responsibility for 24X7 coverage
- Interact with business partners to provide innovative solutions
- Demonstrate the use of established methodologies by adhering to software development life cycle
- Support projects in design, development, testing and implementation
- Act as project or technical lead on Java development and design projects as required
- Provide innovative and cost effective solutions to all business and technical problems
- Drive continuous operational improvements in an enterprise environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Clear and articulate written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Java development and design skills
- Strong thoughts on development methodology, architecture and standards

- Flexibility in the solution and technique (e.g. not all work will necessarily be Java-based)
- Support and integrate with packaged systems
- Systems analysis and design abilities

- Practical SDLC and Project Management understanding
Education/Experience Required:
- 4-year College Degree or related experience required
- 3 to 5 years IT experience, including experience with the following:
- Java Language
- Java database interaction (JDBC)
- MS SQL Server
- iSeries (DB400)
- DB2 o SQL o XML o SOAP
- Encryption/decryption using Java tools (built-in or third party)
- Java Application Servers (Apache/Tomcat preferred)
- OS platforms Windows, iSeries, Linux, Unix
- The following would also be assets:
- Java-related certifications
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Version Control (e.g. Subversion)
- Build Management (e.g. including using tools like Ant or Maven)
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Teaching/Coaching/Knowledge transfer skills
- Any experience with the iSeries Platform
- Experience with or with integrating § Manhattan WMi (Warehouse Management)
- Micros CW Direct (B2C Order Management)
- Working in an environment that complies with PCI and SOX requirements
