Sr. Manager, Treasury and Financial Risk
ATMI is seeking a Sr. Manager, Treasury Financial Risk who is responsible for global treasury operations, including foreign currency management, cash investment management, insurance and risk management and the related reporting and analysis activities. This person should be self-directed with a proven track record of success implementing best practices into existing operations. The position will be located in either Danbury, CT or Austin, TX .
- Lead foreign currency exposure reporting and analysis to ensure all exposures are appropriately hedged and to ensure our risk management processes are effective;
- Formulate, implement and maintain global banking structures and relationships that ensures global cash visibility, includes appropriate banking services, and optimizes liquidity and return, while minimizing fees;
- Lead global risk management activities and insurance renewals processes;
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with portfolio Investment advisor custodial management service providers to ensure excess cash is invested in accordance with the Company approved investment policy;
- Lead month-end and quarter-end Treasury reporting requirements and assist with financial statement disclosures for treasury related activities;
- Lead process to forecast the Company's interest income and expense, and other treasury-related items, as required;
- Partner with Tax Director to ensure global investment strategy aligns with tax strategy;
- Ensure investment policies and procedures are current and reflect market realities;
- Provide strategic summaries of the economic outlook and track and monitor credit ratings and counter-party risks;
- Ensure proper agreements are in place for intercompany loan and foreign exchange activities;
- Lead treasury financial analysis process, complete special projects and support audit requests, as required.
Successful candidates will have the following skill set:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA highly preferred;
- Professional Treasury Certification(CTP) designation;
- 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in the Treasury function, preferably in an international manufacturing environment;
- Must have strong knowledge and experience with foreign exchange management and hedging policy procedures;
- Understanding of and experience working with Electronic Banking Systems across multiple jurisdictions, including designing and supporting the banking systems required by a multinational business in respect of intercompany activity, cash concentration, and system integration;
- Knowledge of investment management principles, including managing working capital resources inclusive of evaluating counter party risk and various investment choices pursuant to Investment Policy;
- Ability to identify and understand patterns and interconnectivity of relevant data (i.e., internal forecasts, customer and supplier data, marketplace information, macroeconomic information, industry trends, and future business trends) to forecast cash flows;
- Strong knowledge of current accounting practices, banking and related products, insurance, corporate finance/investments, corporate governance, and ATMI's business activities to support business planning, forecasting and special analyses;
- Working knowledge of ERP, preferably Oracle;
- Excellent math, analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present reports and recommendations to management in both verbal and written format.
