Sr. Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, registration as a Professional Engineer, a minimum of ten years of professional engineering (mechanical) design and/or design management and a minimum of five years experience on airport, industrial or heavy commercial projects or facilities. Duties will include: - Working under the Senior Mechanical Engineer for DIA as part of a team with overall responsibility for the mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, controls, and Central Plant systems at Denver International Airport. - Planning and overseeing the design, construction, maintenance and/or alteration of multiple complex projects. - Investigating, assessing and developing projects throughout the airport by consulting with stakeholders and staff to determine project requirements and preparing the required information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs and schedules. - Developing scopes of work for both design and construction projects as well as the necessary procurement documents in collaboration with other airport divisions. - Management of design contracts through coordination meetings, review of deliverables, assessments of progress, etc. - Review plans and specifications of all requested projects for conformance of the mechanical design with airport standards and code. - Providing information, expertise and interpretation to questions from other Project Managers related to electrical issues or conflicts through Requests for Information and submittal review. - Acting as a resource to the Senior Mechanical Engineer for DIA by assisting with various studies, investigations or research.
