Sr. Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

·         Monitor, validate and continuously improve production of adhesives.

·         Responsible for maintaining and approval of process masters.

·         Responsible for creating process recipes in PLC’s.

·         Determine critical parameters for producing products and develop control charts using statistical techniques and data based analysis.

·         Responsible for optimization and debottlenecking of production and packaging processes.

·         Support manufacturing personnel in Throughput Enhancement and Efficiency Improvements through process and packaging trials.

·         Provide trouble-shooting support for production issues.

·         Support development and improvements to planned and predictive maintenance programs

·         Create Quality Standard Procedures and Work Instructions.

·         Respond to Non Conforming Material Requests and Customer Quality complaints.

·         Coordinate waste and energy reduction initiatives throughout plant.

·         Responsible for small projects within local manufacturing location.

·         Responsible for safety improvements for current and new processes.

·         Responsible for maintenance of plant PID’s

·         Responsible for implementation and validation of “Management of Change” process.

·         Practice Safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Bostik-specific EHS expectations

Job Requirements:

·         B.S. in Chemical Engineering or engineering with chemical industry experience, advanced degree a plus.

·         Ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing process environment.

·         Previous working knowledge in Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma and Lean.

·         Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) desired

·         Must demonstrate sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, and be flexible to facilitate resolution of complex issues.

·         Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.

·         Proven analytical/problem-solving skills based on data.

·         Strong computer skills and knowledge in computer programming.

·         Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities is required. Must be able to drive results and work effectively in a team setting

·         Ability to travel – 10-25% of the time.
