Description

The incumbent has responsibility for developing and ensuring the execution of the operational/business strategy for a line of business as assigned. The incumbent will partner with business line manager(s) and design strategic operational improvements. The focus of this will be the development and implementation of the continuous improvement strategy and related strategic initiatives, which includes process improvements, productivity enhancements, cost reduction and efficiency gain. This will be accomplished by utilizing the Six Sigma methodology, analytical tools, workflow automation and project management discipline. The senior project manager leads the planning, organizing and implementation of complex strategic projects (or programs) along with managing a project management team dedicated to the development and execution of the continuous improvement strategy. Strategic Vision, Decision Making, Influence/Negotiation, Analytical and Professional/Technical Competence. Must have proven experience in identifying risks, issues, and making effective decisions.

Qualifications

An advanced degree and Six Sigma Black/Green Belt or Project Mgmt. Certification (PMP) desired along with 7+ years of related experience. Strong financial (modeling) and analytical skills. Strong leadership skills. Jobholder must have extensive experience with managing client expectations, the ability to persuade, influence others and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including Senior and Executive Management. Ability to quickly adapt and act to drive change by advocating innovative solutions and new ways of thinking about solutions. Knowledge of technologies at use within the project(s) for which s/he is responsible. Prior experience managing strategic and/or cross-organizational projects and planning and tracking multiple disciplines or organizations and be adept to building consensus across organizational and functional lines.
