Overall Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of laboratory analyses on raw materials, in-process materials and finished medical devices. Analyzes chemical, biological or microbiological samples, in support of the company's quality program. Primary responsibilities includes performing microbiological analyses on product or environmental samples in support of plant bioburden and environmental monitoring programs; performing sterility tests on product samples and biological indicators; identification of microorganisms using various techniques; evaluating and revise existing process and procedures if necessary in order to meet current government, industry and company regulations and standards and performing routine laboratory tasks.

Applies existing techniques and procedures with recommendations and implementation of modification for improved efficiency, or devises and develops new analytical methods and techniques, if needed. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures.

 Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, biology or science related field.

Minimum Experience Requirements: A minimum of seven years of combined experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries. Demonstrate excellent written scientific communication skills. Experience in use of sterility suite and aseptic transferring and testing techniques. Experience in Good Laboratory Practice regulated laboratory preferred.
