With success and vision as a foundation, DMEautomotive is looking for the following qualified individuals: Sr. Recruiter, whose main functions will be to recruit, interview, and recommend applicants to fill job openings on a timely, cost effective basis.  Communicate with Hiring Managers and manage internal client expectations.  Perform other HR functional activities including: orientation/on-boarding and employee relations.

 

Minimum Essential Skills and Compentencies:

Knowledge of:

·         Advanced recruiting resources and methods.

·         HR policies and procedures

·         State and federal laws pertaining to recruiting and employment

Skills:

·         Professional telephone skills. Must be comfortable making cold-calls as a source of finding candidates.

·         Creative and resourceful.

·         Excellent organization skills, with an emphasis on maintaining detailed documentation

·         Strong negotiating skills

·         Solid computer skills – proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.  

Ability to:

·         Build and maintain a network of candidates/referrals for new business opportunities.

·         Source candidates with the use of job boards, social media, and traditional networking techniques.

·         Screen resumes to ensure candidates' credentials match job requirements

·         Establish strong relationships with candidates through phone calls, meetings and on-site visits.

·         Effectively interview applicants and employees.

·         Promote the organization or its services to candidates.

·         Accurately assess the candidate's ability.

·         Effectively communicate with others

·         Listen to others and appropriately act on information provided

·         Present information effectively one on one and to large groups of people

·         Work effectively with people at all levels of the organization

·         Develop plans and metrics to monitor results

·         Identify, quantify, and resolve issues

·         Prioritize and multi-task (work on multiple openings simultaneously)

·         Embrace change and work well under pressure with frequent interruptions.

·         Follow through on commitments.

·         Work with a high degree of integrity, and maintain confidentiality at all times

·         Source and place IT/Engineering candidates in both contract and permanent positions

·         Proven candidate sourcing skills effectively via various traditional and non-traditional recruiting methodologies

·         Effectively manage the full life-cycle recruitment process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:

·         Creates and maintains a collaborative and consultative relationship with Hiring Managers.

·         Determines skills and abilities needed for job.

·         Updates job descriptions.

·         Develops new and creative sourcing strategies for open positions

·         Identifies qualified candidates to fill openings through cold calling, lead generation, internet recruiting and employee referral generation.

·         Writes and places employment ads.

·         Coordinates recruiting efforts at job fairs and colleges

·         Develops a pipeline of candidates for future positions, by product line or position function. 

·         Reviews resumes and applications to assess candidate’s qualifications.

·         Identifies and matches potential candidates to open positions

·         Discusses applicant/employee qualifications with the Hiring Manager.

·         Maintains accurate records of the interview process using web-based applicant tracking software

·         Conducts interviews with candidates (phone and in-person)

·         Accurately describes the position, company, department and benefits to the applicants.

·         Understands and summarizes candidate's key strengths, liabilities, and requirements.

·         Manages all communication with candidates.

·         Communicates requisition status with HR Team Hiring Managers

·         Prepares, maintains, and updates candidate status within an Applicant Tracking System as well as manual reports

·         Updates recruiting information in HR systems.

·         Initiates background checks and drug screens.

·         Verifies applicant’s references.

·         Prepares equal pay audit and recommends compensation range to Hiring Manager.

·         Prepares offer letters 

·         Provides reports on recruiting status and efficiency.

·         Collaborates with peers to enhance work processes, and participate in recruiting projects

 

Orientation On-boarding:

·         Plans and conducts new employee orientation sessions to foster positive attitude toward the company.

·         Provides overview of company and departments

·         Reviews HR policies and procedures and employee handbook

·         Ensures new hire paperwork completed

 

Human Resources:

·         Reviews and edits job descriptions

·         Evaluates jobs and determines exempt/nonexempt status.

·         Communicates human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated company objectives and federal and state legal requirements

·         Develops and recommends improvements to HR policies, procedures and programs.

·         Assists and/or backs up other areas of human resources

·         Other duties may be assigned

 

Education and/or Experience:                                                            

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field required.

·         PHR or SPHR Professional in Human Resources certification preferred

·         Minimum 5 years recruiting experience for technical and professional roles

·         Previous experience with a web-based Applicant Tracking System preferred
