THE COMPANY:
Our client is a fast-growing pioneer in providing precision electrical interface Integrated Circuits for Fiber-Optic transceivers transponders for multi-purpose telecom systems. They're actively seeking a Sr. Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) Engineer to develop custom Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC) Multichip Modules (MCM) for medium long-haul optical transmission market as well as "high-performance" test measurement as well as broadband communications markets. The perfect candidate is one who has a proven record of designing "high-speed" Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits (IC) in Gallium Arsenide (GaAs), Silicon Bipolar technology, or Analog CMOS has placed these products into volume production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidates will be responsible for working with other members of the Engineering Team to develop test products as required by company specifications.
- Candidates will be responsible for working with "High-Speed" Analog Circuit topologies such as AGC, Limiter Amplifiers, Trans-Impedance Amplifiers (TIA), drivers for optical modulation, wideband amplifiers, Mux/Demux, 10 GB/s above.
- Candidates will be responsible for hands-on Testing and Characterizing High Speed devices.
- Candidates must also assist with Packaging, QA support, all production transfer processes.
- Candidates must continually display solid CAD tools experience working with ADS, Analog Microwave Office, Cadence design flow.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must have an Electrical Engineering MS with @ least 6 of years of experience or Electrical Engineering Ph.D. with @ least 4 years of circuits design experience.
- Candidates must have a familiarity with design, characterization, modeling of custom devices and passive elements.
- Candidates must have experience with process technologies such as Gallium Arsenide (GaAs), Silicon. Germanium (SiGe), HBT technology, Clock Data Recovery (CDR), Analog CMOS.
- Candidates must have strong experience with on-chip, packaging, as well as Printed Circuit Board (PCB) parasitic design issues.
- Candidates need strong knowledge of common low frequency circuits such as opamps, Operations Transconductance Amplifiers (OTA) Bias Circuits.
- Candidates need experience developing circuits for wireless standards.
- Candidates need strong experience in the use development of High-Q inductors as well as varactors.
- Candidates with good knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) Testing are desirable would be proficient with such tools as Cadence Spectre, SpectreRF, Virtuoso, Assura.
- Ideal candidates will need to have experience with Microwave Design tools such as ADS Microwave Office of MMICAD.
- Candidates need strong communication skills must have a demonstrated success in meeting design deadlines.
- Candidates must also be a "self-starter" as well as a "team-player" with demonstrated success in a small company environment.
