Sr. RFIC Designer (Power Amplifiers) Job in Irvine 92606, California US
THE COMPANY:
Our client is looking for a Radio Frequency (RF)/Analog Integrated Circuit (IC), or Microwave "solid-state" circuit design engineer specifically with significant experience in Power Amplifier (PA) "Multi-Chip" Module (MCM) board design including matching networks or filter design. The candidate will be part of a development team comprised of other Power Amplifier (PA) design engineers, lower level technicians, as well as layout designers to effectively plan execute Radio Frequency (RF)/Analog Integrated Circuit (IC) Printed Circuit Board (PCB designs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidates must help ensure that our client's design teams meet critical deadlines within the cost performance criteria provided by our client's customers as well as our client's marketing team.
- Candidates must overcome challenging performance parameters in the design of our client's Power Amplifiers (PA), power control schemes, as well as their "Front-End" module products.
- Candidates must show an ability to work cohesively meet deadlines in a "fast-paced" small team environment.
- Candidates must also be able to debug optimize Radio Frequency (RF)/Analog Integrated Circuits (IC) as well as modules in the lab using standard lab equipment.
- Candidates will also be designing under a phase gate product development process with stringent deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates are required to have @ least a MSEE degree or preferably a Ph.D. degree with significant related industry experience.
- Candidates are required to have good experience in transistor level analog CMOS circuit design, simulation, layout of various Analog/Radio Frequency (RF) circuit blocks in Cadence (or equivalent tool).
- Candidates absolutely need to have experience in the design of linear saturated CMOS Power Amplifiers (PA), T/R switches, controllers.
- Candidates must also have experience with Momentum/HFSS (or equivalent tool) module layout in Allegro (or equivalent tool).
- Candidates also need a solid background in Product Realization Process (PRP).
- Candidates should also have expertise in "Multi-Chip" Module (MCM) design including 2D/3D electromagnetic simulations of passive circuits.
- Candidates must have knowledge of Design Architecture of test parameters as well as equipment.
- Candidates should also have device or product characterization knowledge
- Candidates ultimately must be a "self-starter" with excellent written oral communication skills.
