Global RFP Consultant Data Services has in excess of 40 staff in multiple locations across Asia, Europe and the United States, writing RFPs and other new business and existing client submissions across a broad range of equity, fixed income, real estate and alternative strategies for institutional and retail clients. The group also manages submissions of Franklin Templeton firm and product information to online databases globally. It is a division within the firm's Global Business Services function.
The Senior Writer-Global RFP Consultant Data Services is a senior individual contributor role with responsibility for driving quality of proposal content, by leading the process of sourcing, writing, editing and maintaining standard responses held in the team's centralized content database. The role is highly interactive and requires close teamwork with Product Management and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop high-quality standard responses that convey consistent messages and a strong competitive advantage. The role includes providing guidance to one or more Senior Product Content Coordinators, who act as internal SMEs and are also focused on editing high complexity documents to ensure that product-related questions are comprehensively answered and appropriately customized. This role will also participate in the KnowledgeBase process development and maintenance, including creating, editing, and archiving responses, as well as identify priorities, plan projects, and lead and participate in on-going initiatives to support global business requirements.
Skills
- Strong asset management proposal experience, preferably in a global environment. Additional general financial services or asset management experience is highly desirable.
- University degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Extensive experience in sourcing and writing new material, especially in building relationships with investment teams, product managers and other Subject Matter Experts to extract relevant and timely information.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of building strong working relationships and interacting professionally at all levels of seniority and across multiple cultures.
- Excellent research and analysis skills, tenacious in following issues to a successful conclusion.
- Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills; natural aptitude and passion for writing.
- Proficient with statistical information, able to understand data and used it to provide evidence in support of written statements.
- Good understanding of the formal RFP process, including clients' and consultants' evaluation processes.
- Flexible and adaptable, demonstrated ability to consistently excel in a rapidly changing environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail, across all aspects of language and grammar, as well as general layout and presentation.
- Excellent project management and organization skills, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable in making independent decisions and being accountable for own decisions, while also consulting appropriately and escalating issues as necessary.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills, able to support and develop individuals through on-the-job feedback and training.
