Sr. Systems Analyst (Investment Administration) recruitment
Position Description:
Overview
Wellington Management is a leading investment management firm with 650+ Billion USD in assets under management. Wellington manages equity, fixed income, currency, commodities, real assets, and active asset allocation mandates globally for institutional clients and mutual fund sponsors in over 40 countries.
The Client Operations (CO) business is responsible for operational coordination with clients, custodians, administrators and other service providers for clients.
The Information Technology team supporting the above group is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst who will be responsible for requirements, systems analysis, testing, and internal and external project coordination for enhancements and initiatives. This position requires a high level of interaction with the business users, clients and the client's service providers as well as strong communication and delivery skills. This position is located in Boston.
Responsibilities
• Work with business partners and/or clients to define, analyze and document requirements
• Document functional specifications and data queries for new files or enhancements and new transmission protocols if needed
• Coordinate the work of the development team, internal network teams and client teams to deliver necessary interfaces
• Plan and perform functional testing and coordinate UAT for new interfaces
• Provide ongoing support including issue tracking and status reporting
• Work with business partners to prioritize support and enhancement needs
Qualifications
• A minimum of 8 years of work experience in financial services industry
• A minimum of 5 years experience developing or supporting investment back/middle office applications
• Strong understanding of portfolio accounting, security types, analytics and market data
• Demonstrated client relationship with internal and external clients, and excellent communication and analytical skills
• Demonstrated experience in business and systems analysis
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational database technology
• Focused delivery skills, especially for smaller projects requiring quick turnaround and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline
• Prior experience in supporting portfolio accounting or client interfaces is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of PL/SQL Development is a strong plus
